unseen, unheard

A girl unseen, unheard.
A shadow against these halls.
Slipping away; oblivion waiting
Refusal puts her in limbo.
A zombie in this world; alone.

A life unlived awaits in her books;
Emotion awaits in her music;
"Expression-of-self" awaits in her
pen and pencil;
But nothing else awaits; No one
else awaits.
Depression comes and goes;
a loving family at home.
Something's wrong;no clue why,
A life she doesn't want; so ordinary.
Dreams of the stories she reads;
none to ever come true.

Her words flow with the wind; unheard.
She walks through a crowded place; unseen.
A ghost, a soul disturbed.
The pain comes and goes; friends on each side.
The tears sting her eyes.

A pain; a secret; a side unknown.
And they shall never be told...
