Betrayed

A friend betrayed is a weight on the soul too heavy to bear
The hurt of the other a hurt of the self.
Through the ignorance of one foolish person,
Pain and hurt is ignited in the other, unknowingly, undeserved.
When that hurt is realized, it is flashed back to the Foolish multiplied ten thousand
But added is the guilt, the heavy burden.
Love is there, known only to the Foolish with the regret
Not seen by the Betrayed, as the haze of pain and hurt interferes.
How to shine the light of love through that haze?
How to receive an undeserved forgiveness from the Betrayed if not from the Self?
Forgiveness from the Betrayed means the world
But a forgiveness from the Self can never be granted.

The friendship means more than words can explain
A deterioration of that special relationship is a destruction of the Foolish
Slowly yet surely it kills, more painful than any other death imaginable.
The Foolish is no longer foolish or ignorant, but sees for the first time.
That is why the tears fall and soul cries
Not for the Foolish heart, but for that of the Betrayed.

For in the eyes of the Betrayed is seen the beauty of the soul deep within,
A beauty so great, so unique, so wonderful and loved.
But shining through is the hurt and pain
In it's sadness increasing the beauty multiple.
Never did any equal to this beauty exist, and there never will.
Only the most foolish of the the foolish would not see, and the Foolish is no longer.
